Dr. Frannie Léautier is a well-known finance and development professional, with long-standing global experience leading and transforming organisations in the private, public, and not-for-profit spheres. She has held various leadership roles at TDB Group, including Vice-Chair of the Board, first Independent Director on the TDB’s Board, and Special Advisor to the President before becoming TDB’s first Chief Operating Officer, before taking leadership of TDB’s Asset Management business as its Executive Director. She was Senior Vice President at the African Development Bank and Vice President for nearly seven years at the World Bank Group. She recently joined Southbridge Group as a Senior Partner. Dr. Léautier is known for her skills in operational management, transformational leadership, resource mobilization, working with complex multi-constituency governance structures, and engaging with the highest levels of government. Her work has contributed to attracting innovative financing to Africa. She has founded two companies and holds advisory and governance roles on several boards, including the World Economic Forum, UN Foundation, MIT, OCP Group, Orca Explorations, AZA Finance, and ARC Ltd. She previously served on boards of AERC, ISS, KBFUS, and Nelson Mandela Institute for Science and Technology (NM-AIST). She has authored several books and articles and lectured at Sciences Po, MIT, Harvard, and Tokyo University. She holds an MSc in Transportation and Ph.D. in Infrastructure Systems from MIT, Doctor in Humane Letters from North Central College, and a Doctor in Law from Lancaster University, honoris causa.
