Ms. Eléonore Immaculée Nyamwiza

Ms. Eléonore Immaculée Nyamwiza is a Programme Coordinator in the Asset Management Department at the Eastern and Southern Africa Trade and Development Bank (TDB), stationed in its Regional Office in Nairobi. Her role involves engagement with service providers and Joint Venture Partners around fund management and administration issues, developing and managing the budgets of the department, and ensuring effective agenda setting and smooth followup on strategic and governance-related meetings of the department. This is a position she assumed having successfully completed her role as Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of TDB. Before joining TDB Group in August 2012, Ms. Nyamwiza was a Human Resource officer at OXFAM GB stationed in Haiti. In this function, she played a key role in the emergency recruitment of Humanitarian personnel in response to the Earthquake of January 2010 which caused more than 230,000 victims in the country. Functioning in Haiti helped her hone in her skills of functioning during crises which have proved very helpful in the response to COVID-19, where she was able to take a lead in developing the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the Asset Management Department. Ms. Nyamwiza also brought the skills she garnered at Oxfam to TDB, in other roles she has held, including in the Human Resources Department of the Bank. Prior to joining OXFAM GB, Ms. Nyamwiza was an Administrative and Protocol Officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Burundi, where she sharpened her diplomatic skills. She earned a Master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Salford in the UK and a Bachelor of Law from the Lake Tanganyika University of Burundi. Ms. Nyamwiza is bilingual in English and French.
